Distinguished Senator Okey Ezea on Sunday, 5th May, 2024, paid a visit to Nimbo community in Uzo-Uwani LGA to condole with the people of the local government over the recent killings in the area
Senator Ezea, in an emotion-laden speech, lamented that after the sad incident of 2016 that led to the death of 46 people, no concrete measures have been taken by the government to forestall future attacks in Uzo-Uwani.
The Senator also used the opportunity to enjoin communities in Nsukka, especially in Uzo-Uwani, to reenact the community vigilante practice of the past that effectively worked to ensure adequate security within the zone.
Senator Ezea wrapped up his speech by charging the people of Uzo-Uwani to be courageous, even in the face of the current adversity, while also assuring them that nobody or group of persons would ever muster the capacity to uproot them from their ancestral homes.
